Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating a Mibori account, using the Mibori website, or connecting any third-party service to Mibori, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. These terms form a binding agreement between you and Mibori, the entity described in our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of the service

Mibori is a personal meal-planning service that helps you import recipes from sources you connect (for example Pinterest), organise them into a weekly plan, and remember which dishes you cooked and enjoyed. Mibori is provided "as is" while in beta; features may change, and short downtime can occur.

3. Your account and responsibilities

• — You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, to create an account.
• — You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for any activity that takes place under your account.
• — You can close your account at any time from your account settings or by emailing hello@mibori.com.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Mibori to:

• — Scrape, mass-download, or otherwise harvest data from Mibori or any service we connect to.
• — Run automated mass actions (bulk imports, programmatic requests beyond reasonable personal use) without our prior written consent.
• — Attempt to reverse-engineer, probe for vulnerabilities, or disrupt the integrity of the service.
• — Upload or import content that infringes someone else's rights or violates applicable law.
• — Use the service in a way that places an unreasonable load on our infrastructure or that of our sub-processors.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.

5. Pinterest integration

Mibori offers an optional integration with Pinterest. When you connect your Pinterest account, you are also bound by Pinterest's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. You are responsible for complying with them when using Pinterest content through Mibori.

Mibori is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Pinterest. Pinterest, the Pinterest logo, and related marks are trademarks of Pinterest, Inc. The integration is built on Pinterest's public developer API.

Mibori only requests read-only scopes (boards:read, pins:read, user_accounts:read). We never post, modify, or delete anything on Pinterest on your behalf, and you can revoke our access at any time from your Pinterest account settings.

6. Your content

Recipes you import, the meal plans you build, and the ratings and notes you write remain yours. You grant Mibori a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display this content solely for the purpose of operating the service for you.

We do not claim ownership of recipes you import from third-party sources; those remain the property of their original authors.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mibori is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of recipe content imported from third parties, or non-infringement. Recipes shown in Mibori may contain inaccuracies, allergens, or errors introduced by their original source — always verify ingredient lists before cooking, especially for dietary or allergy reasons.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mibori and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for any direct damages will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) one hundred euro (€100). Nothing in these terms limits liability for matters that cannot be limited under applicable law, such as gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

9. Changes to the service or these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will notify you by email or via the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continued use of Mibori after the effective date means you accept the updated terms. The current version is always at mibori.com/terms.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be submitted to the competent courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in another forum.
